I am a media producer currently finishing a master’s in Global Media at American University’s School of International Service and School of Communication. After graduating with a B.A. in Philosophy and a minor in Film Studies from Tufts University in 2012, I worked as Vice President of Video Production at an online marketing company, a photographer, a freelance videographer and video editor, and as a writer for a blog featured on Forbes, The Wall Street Journal and CNN. In 2015 I decided to consolidate my production experience and interests in international affairs into a new, interdisciplinary career path while still pursuing writing on the side. My Global Media coursework has prepared me for the next stage of my professional life, and my current job as a media and advanced learning technologies consultant at American University’s Center for Teaching, Research and Learning allows me to bring my perspective on the educational possibilities of the media to future employment opportunities.
